KITCHEN COORDINATOR
Full Duty, Paid Position - $500 for three days, plus tips
Includes:
-
meals
-
on site accommodation - please specify in the comment field below whether you prefer indoors (private room may not be available), tipi or tenting
-
participation in most morning and evening group circles if desired, some retreat and festivity participation as full time duties allow
Requirements:
-
Must have kitchen and cooking experience in some capacity
-
The ability to be self directed with a willingness to serve

While not required assets would be: previous commercial or crowd food prep and/or catering experience; food handling safety certification; management experience
Duties/Overseeing:
-
Must be available one evening, as agreed upon, during the week before the retreat for orientation
-
Duties begin Friday morning, July 12, and end Sunday night, July 14 with option to stay over until Monday.

Heating, preparing and serving meals; *most main dishes will already be pre-prepared (and frozen) requiring thawing some last minute prepping, additions and heating; salad and veggie prep and baking etc.

Overseeing and delegating volunteer kitchen help including part time kitchen assistant and event attendee volunteer service shifts (30 min before and after each meal)

Maintaining coffee, tea, beverage and snack service

Managing kitchen set up, clean up and dish washing stations (attendees will be providing and washing their own plates and utensils)

Part Time Duty, Volunteer position

participation in all morning and evening group circles

retreat workshop and festivity participation as part time duties allow
Requirements:

Willing to serve

Previous kitchen and cooking experience will be an asset
Duties:

Duties begin Friday morning July 12 for orientation and assistance with pre-weekend meal prep, and end Sunday evening July 14, with option to stay over to Monday, July 15

Assisting Kitchen Coordinator with food prep, serving, and kitchen clean up

Will have free time to participate part time in the retreat activities and workshops as worked out with the kitchen coordinator

HOSPITALITY HOSTESS
Part Time Duty, Volunteer position
Includes:
-
meals
-
tenting or tipi accommodation (please specify your preference)
-
free admission and nearly full retreat participation while simultaneously maintaining duties (for example, this may require watching the time and schedule and arriving late to, or popping out early from, a workshop to drum the time or check in with a new arrival, etc)
Requirements:
-
Willing to serve
-
Physical ability that allows one to; 'walk-about' through field, hills and trails; crisscross property numerous times; possible minor lifting of tables, firewood etc
-
Observant, self directed and a somewhat socially extroverted personality will be an asset
Duties may include:
-
Duties begin Friday morning July 12 for grounds and event orientation and end Sunday evening July 14, with option to stay over to Monday, July 15

Assisting with guest registration and check-in, offering guests property and tent site tours
-
Assisting with welcoming and orientating facilitators and performers as they arrive throughout the retreat
-
Assisting with answering questions and helping guests and facilitators find what they need, such as extra blankets, flashlights, power cords, first aid supplies, etc
-
Inspecting out houses and supervising volunteers for washroom cleaning and stocking
-
Periodic grounds, market and site checks and walk-abouts for hazards, cleanliness etc.

Assisting with Time Keeping and drumming in the change of activities
